Foreclosure inspectors are people who drive around every month to check up on houses that are going into foreclosure.
Have you ever seen a Bank of America or Wells Fargo notice on a door? When a home owner becomes delinquent on payments, the bank sends out an inspector to see if the house is occupied or vacant and check the condition it’s in.
If the property is vacant, they usually post notices on the door. Most of these inspectors are independent contractors that don’t work directly for the bank. How do I know this you ask? Because I used to be one!
It was a great job for the time. I did about 300 to 500 inspections a month, which allowed me to find a lot of great houses since I was driving neighborhoods daily.
To find foreclosure inspectors, post an ad on Craigslist or when you see a bank notice on the front door of a vacant house, leave your card or a note asking the inspector to please contact you.
